Dr. Mohamed El Baradie is a globally seasoned scholar-practitioner in Accounting, Finance, and Management—renowned for transforming complex financial concepts into powerful, practice-ready learning experiences. A faculty member at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) since 2024, he teaches Accounting, Financial Management, and Statistics, bringing to the classroom the rare blend of academic rigor, tech-enhanced pedagogy, and real-world managerial insight. With a career spanning Egypt, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the UAE, Dr. El Baradie has built a reputation as a versatile academic leader and dynamic educator. His academic roots include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Alexandria University, an MBA from Wayne State University, and a PhD from the University of Durham—where his research explored the application of modern management accounting techniques in developing economies. Before academia, he served in high-stakes financial roles, including Financial Controller for American Airlines in the eastern United States and Accounting Controller at P.Tech Corporation in Boston—experiences that shaped his pragmatic, industry-anchored teaching style. Across his academic career, Dr. El Baradie has taught at prestigious institutions including the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, the University of Durham, the American University in the Emirates, Al Hosn University, and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU). His leadership roles have been equally impactful: Head of International Programs at the Arab Academy, Head of the Accounting Curriculum Committee at AUE, and Chair of the Accounting & Finance Program at HBMSU—where he led program re-licensure twice and championed innovative, student-centered learning models. His expertise extends far beyond the classroom. Dr. El Baradie has managed major international academic partnerships, redesigned curriculum frameworks, recruited faculty, led budgeting processes, and pioneered online teaching strategies long before digital learning became the norm. His cross-continental career reflects deep cultural fluency, academic versatility, and a legacy of elevating institutional quality through rigorous standards and creative educational design.
