AX INSTITUTE ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY AND LEARNER CONDUCT POLICY
This Academic Integrity Policy and Learner Conduct Policy (“Policy”) governs academic honesty, professional conduct, educational integrity, assessment integrity, credential integrity, learner participation, AI-assisted educational activities, enterprise learning participation, and educational conduct across all educational programs and Services provided through the AX Institute platform located at www.axinstitute.online (the “Platform”).
The Platform is operated by Active Patterns Inc., operating under the brands AX Institute and AX (“AX Institute”, “AX”, “Institute”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
This Policy applies to all:
· learners;
· subscribers;
· certification participants;
· designation candidates;
· specialization participants;
· mentorship participants;
· workshop participants;
· enterprise learners;
· instructors;
· mentors;
· facilitators;
· contributors;
· organizational participants;
· users participating in AX Institute educational activities.

By participating in AX Institute educational activities, assessments, certifications, specialization programs, enterprise learning programs, mentorship programs, workshops, or Services, users acknowledge and agree to comply with this Policy.
Nothing in this Policy creates fiduciary, advisory, employment, agency, partnership, consulting, professional-client, or guaranteed educational outcome relationships between users and AX Institute.
AX Institute does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of educational systems, AI-enabled systems, enterprise systems, assessments, educational technologies, integrations, certifications, workshops, or related infrastructure.
1. PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
AX Institute is committed to maintaining:
· academic honesty;
· educational integrity;
· professional ethics;
· credential integrity;
· fair assessment practices;
· responsible AI usage;
· respectful educational participation;
· enterprise learning integrity;
· institutional credibility.
Responsible use of AI technologies for learning, productivity, analysis, creativity, and professional development may form part of modern educational and professional environments where such use remains consistent with applicable educational requirements, assessment expectations, integrity standards, and disclosure obligations.
Academic integrity is fundamental to preserving the credibility, legitimacy, and value of:
· AX Institute educational programs;
· certifications;
· specializations;
· designations;
· assessments;
· mentorship programs;
· enterprise learning activities;
· educational records;
· professional learning environments;
· digital credentials;
· badges and certifications.
Academic misconduct, professional misconduct, fraudulent conduct, educational dishonesty, AI misuse, credential misuse, or disruptive conduct undermines the integrity of the educational environment and may result in enforcement action.
2. GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Participants are expected to:
· complete their own work unless collaboration is expressly authorized;
· accurately represent their participation, competency, and performance;
· comply with educational instructions and assessment requirements;
· engage honestly and ethically in educational activities;
· use educational resources responsibly and lawfully;
· maintain respectful and professional conduct;
· comply with AI usage requirements;
· maintain the integrity of educational and enterprise learning environments.
Participants shall not misrepresent:
· their identity;
· educational achievements;
· certifications or credential status;
· assessment results;
· enterprise participation;
· educational completion;
· authorship of work;
· competency or participation.
Participants remain responsible for ensuring that submissions, assessments, certifications, educational activities, and enterprise participation comply with applicable integrity standards.
Participants remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, appropriateness, legality, and educational authenticity of all submitted work regardless of whether AI-assisted technologies, automation systems, research tools, editing tools, or third-party technologies were utilized during preparation.
3. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT EXPECTATIONS
Participants shall conduct themselves respectfully, professionally, and ethically in connection with AX Institute educational activities and Services.
Participants shall not engage in:
· harassment;
· intimidation;
· abusive conduct;
· discriminatory conduct;
· disruptive behavior;
· bullying;
· threats;
· inappropriate communications;
· unlawful conduct;
· conduct harmful to educational environments;
· misconduct toward instructors, mentors, enterprise participants, facilitators, staff, or learners.
AX Institute reserves the right to remove, restrict, suspend, or terminate participation where conduct is inconsistent with professional, educational, operational, enterprise, or institutional expectations.
Enterprise participants may additionally remain subject to organizational conduct requirements imposed by employers, enterprise clients, or institutional partners.
4. ACADEMIC MISCONDUCT
Academic misconduct includes, without limitation:
· plagiarism;
· copying or unauthorized use of another person’s work;
· unauthorized paraphrasing or unattributed reuse;
· submitting work completed by another individual;
· ghostwriting or contract cheating;
· unauthorized collaboration;
· falsification or fabrication of information;
· impersonation during assessments or educational activities;
· misrepresentation of participation or completion;
· unauthorized sharing of assessments or examination materials;
· misuse of educational content;
· unauthorized access to restricted materials;
· manipulation of learning systems or assessment systems;
· falsification of credentials or certifications;
· unauthorized use of enterprise accounts or educational systems;
· educational fraud;
· unauthorized substitution of original learning, authorship, analysis, reflection, assessment participation, or educational effort through AI-generated outputs;
· deceptive concealment of material AI-generated educational content where disclosure is required;
· credential misuse;
· deceptive educational conduct.
AX Institute reserves sole discretion to determine whether conduct constitutes academic misconduct, professional misconduct, educational dishonesty, enterprise misconduct, or policy violations.
5. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AI-ASSISTED WORK
AX Institute recognizes that AI technologies may be used in educational and professional environments.
Responsible AI usage may support learning, productivity, brainstorming, research, editing, analysis, communication, coding, professional development, or educational exploration where permitted by applicable educational requirements.
The use of AI technologies does not remove participant responsibility for originality, integrity, competency development, educational participation, assessment authenticity, or compliance with applicable academic integrity standards.
AX Institute distinguishes between responsible AI-assisted learning and deceptive substitution of educational participation, authorship, assessment integrity, competency development, or educational effort.
Unless expressly permitted, participants shall not:
· submit AI-generated work as their own;
· use AI tools to circumvent learning objectives;
· use AI tools dishonestly during assessments;
· generate fraudulent educational submissions;
· use AI systems to impersonate participation, competency, or authorship;
· manipulate AI systems to bypass educational requirements;
· use unauthorized AI-generated responses during examinations or restricted assessments.
Where AI assistance is permitted, participants may be required to:
· disclose AI usage;
· identify AI-assisted content;
· comply with assignment-specific requirements;
· distinguish original work from AI-assisted work;
· maintain responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of submissions.
AI disclosure requirements, restrictions, permitted uses, prohibited uses, assessment conditions, and educational expectations may vary depending on the nature of the program, course, assessment, workshop, specialization, enterprise learning activity, or educational objective.
AX Institute reserves the right to:
· evaluate whether AI usage violates integrity standards;
· implement AI-detection technologies;
· conduct AI-related integrity reviews;
· require resubmission of work;
· reject AI-assisted submissions;
· invalidate assessments;
· impose enforcement actions relating to AI misuse.
Use of AI-enabled systems remains subject to the AI Acceptable Use Policy and AI Governance Policy.
6. REMOTE LEARNING AND ONLINE ASSESSMENT INTEGRITY
Online educational activities remain subject to academic integrity standards.
Participants shall not:
· permit another individual to complete assessments on their behalf;
· share login credentials during educational activities;
· manipulate attendance or participation records;
· interfere with educational systems;
· interfere with assessments or certification systems;
· exploit technical vulnerabilities;
· manipulate online participation metrics;
· permit third parties, automated systems, AI agents, outsourced participants, or unauthorized individuals to complete educational activities, assessments, workshops, certifications, or enterprise learning obligations on their behalf.
AX Institute reserves the right to:
· verify participant identity;
· review Platform activity;
· review participation records;
· review assessment activity;
· monitor suspicious patterns;
· investigate irregular educational behavior;
· implement identity verification controls;
· implement monitoring technologies;
· review AI-related indicators;
· conduct educational integrity reviews.
7. CERTIFICATION, SPECIALIZATION, AND CREDENTIAL INTEGRITY
Certificates, badges, designations, credentials, specializations, and certifications issued by AX Institute must be legitimately earned.
Participants shall not:
· falsify credential claims;
· misrepresent certification status;
· alter credentials or certificates;
· fraudulently share credentials;
· claim educational completion dishonestly;
· misrepresent competency or accreditation status;
· use revoked or invalidated credentials.
AX Institute reserves the right to:
· revoke credentials;
· invalidate certifications;
· suspend credential issuance;
· invalidate assessments;
· revoke badges or designations;
· revoke specialization recognitions;
· remove credential verification records;
· publicly correct fraudulent credential claims where legally appropriate;
· restrict future participation.
Credential usage may also be governed by the AX Institute Certificate and Credential Usage Policy.
8. ENTERPRISE, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND TEAM LEARNING
Enterprise, organizational, institutional, governmental, or employer-sponsored educational activities remain subject to academic integrity standards.
Organizations and participants shall not:
· share accounts among employees;
· engage in proxy completion activities;
· manipulate participation records;
· falsify educational completion information;
· misuse enterprise educational systems;
· circumvent enterprise learning controls.
Organizations remain responsible for ensuring authorized users comply with applicable AX Institute policies.
AX Institute reserves the right to coordinate integrity investigations, operational reviews, educational enforcement activities, credential reviews, or enterprise restrictions with authorized organizational representatives where reasonably necessary.
9. INVESTIGATIONS AND REVIEW RIGHTS
AX Institute reserves the right to investigate suspected misconduct, educational dishonesty, credential misuse, AI misuse, enterprise misconduct, policy violations, operational abuse, or integrity concerns.
Investigations may involve review of:
· Platform analytics;
· access logs;
· submission history;
· participation records;
· assessment activity;
· communications;
· AI-related indicators;
· credential records;
· enterprise records;
· system telemetry;
· monitoring systems;
· authentication records;
· educational materials;
· operational records.
AX Institute may utilize:
· automated monitoring systems;
· AI-detection systems;
· integrity review technologies;
· operational review processes;
· human oversight procedures;
· enterprise coordination procedures;
· educational integrity review methods.
AX Institute reserves sole discretion regarding investigation procedures, review methodologies, evidentiary determinations, educational integrity assessments, and enforcement decisions.
10. ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS
Where violations are suspected or confirmed, AX Institute may impose one or more enforcement actions including:
· warnings or reprimands;
· reassessment requirements;
· invalidation of assessments or submissions;
· grade or completion adjustments;
· removal of educational submissions;
· suspension from educational activities;
· revocation of subscriptions;
· restriction of enterprise participation;
· revocation or invalidation of credentials;
· revocation of certifications or badges;
· revocation of specialization recognitions or designation eligibility;
· permanent bans from future participation;
· legal action where appropriate.
Serious violations may result in immediate enforcement without prior notice.
AX Institute reserves sole discretion regarding the nature, scope, severity, duration, or appropriateness of enforcement actions.
11. APPEALS AND REVIEW REQUESTS
AX Institute may, but is not obligated to, provide opportunities for review, clarification, reconsideration, or appeals relating to academic integrity determinations.
Where review opportunities are provided:
· review procedures may vary depending on the nature of the matter;
· timelines and procedures may be determined operationally;
· additional information may be requested;
· determinations may remain final following review.
Nothing in this Policy guarantees formal appeal rights, litigation rights, arbitration rights, or reconsideration procedures.
All determinations relating to academic integrity remain within the sole discretion of AX Institute.
12. EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL CONSEQUENCES
Users acknowledge that violations of this Policy may result in:
· educational consequences;
· certification consequences;
· specialization consequences;
· enterprise participation restrictions;
· removal from educational programs;
· revocation of subscriptions;
· credential invalidation;
· professional consequences;
· organizational consequences;
· loss of educational access.
AX Institute shall not be responsible for educational, professional, enterprise, reputational, employment-related, certification-related, specialization-related, or organizational consequences resulting from enforcement actions, integrity determinations, credential revocations, educational restrictions, or policy enforcement.
13. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER POLICIES
This Policy should be interpreted together with:

· AI Acceptable Use Policy and AI Governance Policy;
· Subscription and Membership Policy;
· Privacy Policy;
· Accessibility Policy;
· Refund Policy;
· Certificate and Credential Usage Policy;
· applicable Terms and Conditions.
Where inconsistencies arise, the Website Terms of Use shall prevail unless expressly stated otherwise.
14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AX Institute, AX, and Active Patterns Inc. shall not be liable for:
· educational consequences;
· credential revocations;
· participation restrictions;
· enterprise restrictions;
· reputational impacts;
· professional impacts;
· employment impacts;
· educational interruptions;
· AI-related determinations;
· enterprise learning consequences;
· operational enforcement actions;
· indirect damages;
· consequential damages;
· lost opportunities;
· lost business opportunities;
· lost educational opportunities.
Maximum aggregate liability relating to educational activities, certifications, assessments, subscriptions, AI-enabled systems, enterprise learning activities, or Services shall not exceed the amount paid for applicable Services during the preceding twelve (12) months.
Certain jurisdictions may not permit certain limitations. In such cases, liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Policy shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, disputes relating to this Policy shall be resolved solely on an individual basis and not through class, collective, representative, coordinated, consolidated, or mass proceedings.
Users expressly waive any right to participate in class actions, collective proceedings, representative proceedings, coordinated proceedings, consolidated proceedings, or mass proceedings to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
16. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
AX Institute reserves the right to modify, amend, replace, supplement, discontinue, or update this Policy at any time to reflect:
· educational requirements;
· operational requirements;
· technological developments;
· AI developments;
· enterprise requirements;
· cybersecurity developments;
· legal developments;
· institutional standards;
· accreditation developments;
· evolving governance practices.
Updated versions become effective upon posting unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Continued participation in AX Institute Services following updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
17. ASSIGNMENT
This Policy may be assigned, transferred, delegated, subcontracted, novated, or otherwise transferred by AX Institute in connection with mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, financing arrangements, reorganizations, enterprise restructurings, transfers of operations, or transfers of business operations or assets.
