AX INSTITUTE COMMUNITY AND PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT POLICY

This Community and Professional Conduct Policy (“Policy”) governs participation in AX Institute educational environments, enterprise learning environments, workshops, mentorship activities, certifications, live events, forums, networking activities, digital community spaces, AI-enabled educational systems, collaborative learning experiences, and related educational Services provided through the AX Institute platform located at www.axinstitute.online (the “Platform”).

The Platform is operated by Active Patterns Inc., operating under the brands AX Institute and AX (“AX Institute”, “AX”, “Institute”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

This Policy applies to all:

· learners;
· subscribers;
· instructors;
· mentors;
· workshop participants;
· certification participants;
· designation candidates;
· enterprise clients;
· organizational participants;
· facilitators;
· moderators;
· guest speakers;
· contributors;
· enterprise learners;
· users participating in AX Institute Services or community environments.

This Policy forms part of the AX Institute governance framework and should be read together with the:

By participating in AX Institute Services, educational activities, enterprise programs, mentorship environments, community spaces, workshops, or Platform interactions, users acknowledge and agree to comply with this Policy.

Nothing in this Policy creates fiduciary, advisory, employment, agency, partnership, consulting, professional-client, or guaranteed educational outcome relationships between users and AX Institute.

AX Institute does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of educational systems, AI-enabled systems, enterprise systems, forums, communication systems, mentorship environments, workshops, integrations, educational technologies, or related infrastructure.

 

1. PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY

AX Institute is committed to maintaining:

· professional educational environments;
· respectful and constructive interactions;
· inclusive participation;
· psychologically safe learning spaces;
· collaborative executive learning environments;
· ethical professional engagement;
· enterprise learning professionalism;
· respectful digital participation;
· educational integrity;
· operational integrity;
· executive-level professional engagement;
· leadership-oriented learning environments;
· organizational capability development;
· responsible professional collaboration;
· applied professional development;
· respectful executive participation.

This Policy is intended to support:

· participant safety;
· educational quality;
· enterprise professionalism;
· respectful collaboration;
· institutional credibility;
· professional learning standards;
· responsible community participation;
· operational continuity.

AX Institute community environments are intended to support professional learning, leadership development, organizational capability growth, executive collaboration, applied professional development, ethical participation, and responsible engagement across educational and enterprise environments.

 

2. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS

Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally, respectfully, responsibly, and ethically in all interactions connected to AX Institute Services.

Professional conduct includes:

· respectful communication;
· constructive participation;
· professional collaboration;
· good-faith engagement;
· respect for differing viewpoints;
· respectful disagreement;
· lawful participation;
· ethical conduct;
· compliance with applicable policies;
· responsible use of educational systems;
· respectful treatment of instructors, mentors, facilitators, staff, and participants.

Participants are expected to contribute to professional learning environments that support respectful dialogue, capability development, executive learning, collaboration, constructive feedback, and responsible professional engagement.

These expectations apply across:

· discussion forums;
· mentorship sessions;
· workshops;
· webinars;
· networking activities;
· live sessions;
· enterprise learning cohorts;
· digital community spaces;
· collaborative educational activities;
· AI-enabled educational interactions;
· written communications;
· enterprise educational environments.

Participants remain responsible for their communications, submissions, interactions, conduct, and participation in educational environments.

 

3. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

Participants shall not engage in conduct including, without limitation:

· harassment;
· bullying;
· intimidation;
· abusive conduct;
· threatening conduct;
· discriminatory conduct;
· hate speech;
· retaliation;
· defamatory conduct;
· malicious attacks;
· disruptive behavior;
· stalking;
· targeted harassment;
· impersonation;
· fraudulent conduct;
· unauthorized solicitation;
· spam or promotional abuse;
· unlawful conduct;
· deceptive conduct;
· malicious misinformation;
· platform manipulation;
· cybersecurity abuse;
· unauthorized disclosure of confidential information;
· inappropriate or unlawful content sharing;
· conduct harmful to educational or enterprise environments;
· misuse of enterprise participation for competitive intelligence gathering;
· unauthorized solicitation of participants for competing commercial activities;
· misuse of professional networking environments for deceptive business practices.

Participants shall not engage in conduct intended to:

· interfere with educational activities;
· disrupt enterprise learning environments;
· undermine educational integrity;
· damage participant safety;
· compromise operational integrity;
· interfere with mentorship environments;
· manipulate educational systems;
· create hostile educational environments.

AX Institute reserves sole discretion to determine whether conduct violates this Policy or creates educational, operational, enterprise, legal, ethical, reputational, or institutional concerns.

 

4. DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS, AI INTERACTIONS, AND ONLINE PARTICIPATION

Participants shall use digital systems, AI-enabled systems, communication tools, discussion environments, enterprise systems, and online educational technologies responsibly and professionally.

Participants shall not:

· misuse AI-enabled educational systems;
· impersonate individuals using AI-generated content;
· engage in deceptive AI-assisted communications;
· create deceptive AI-generated identities, personas, executive profiles, organizational affiliations, or simulated participation intended to mislead participants or enterprise users;
· misuse automated systems;
· conduct unauthorized scraping or extraction activities;
· attempt to bypass moderation systems or security controls;
· manipulate online participation systems;
· engage in coordinated abuse campaigns;
· upload malicious code or harmful materials;
· misuse educational technologies or enterprise systems.

AI-assisted interactions remain subject to the AI Acceptable Use Policy and AI Governance Policy.

AX Institute reserves the right to implement moderation systems, AI-enabled moderation technologies, monitoring systems, integrity protections, cybersecurity measures, enterprise protections, or operational controls reasonably necessary to maintain Platform integrity and participant safety.

 

5. INSTRUCTOR, MENTOR, FACILITATOR, AND CONTRIBUTOR CONDUCT

Instructors, mentors, facilitators, moderators, contributors, and guest participants are expected to maintain professional educational standards and respectful conduct.

Instructors and mentors shall not:

· engage in harassment or discrimination;
· exploit participants;
· misuse confidential information;
· engage in inappropriate relationships connected to educational activities;
· misuse educational authority;
· misuse participant relationships;
· engage in conduct inconsistent with professional educational boundaries or responsible executive learning environments;
· misuse AX Institute branding;
· make knowingly false or misleading representations;
· engage in retaliatory conduct.

AX Institute reserves the right to:

· remove instructors or mentors;
· suspend participation rights;
· restrict Platform access;
· terminate educational relationships;
· remove contributors;
· restrict enterprise participation;
· remove content or educational materials;

where conduct may create educational, legal, ethical, operational, enterprise, reputational, accreditation, or institutional concerns.

 

6. CONFIDENTIALITY, PRIVACY, AND RESPECT FOR PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

Participants may be exposed to:

· business discussions;
· strategic conversations;
· enterprise discussions;
· professional experiences;
· confidential organizational information;
· mentorship communications;
· peer discussions;
· enterprise learning information;
· collaborative educational activities.

Participants shall respect the confidentiality and privacy of educational and enterprise learning environments.

Participants shall not:

· distribute confidential participant information;
· publicly disclose private discussions;
· share screenshots, recordings, communications, or enterprise materials without authorization;
· misuse participant information for commercial, competitive, reputational, or organizational purposes;
· disclose enterprise-sensitive discussions improperly;
· disclose mentorship communications improperly.

These obligations do not create formal legal confidentiality obligations equivalent to separate non-disclosure agreements unless expressly agreed in writing.

Participants and Enterprise Clients remain responsible for determining whether separate confidentiality agreements, enterprise governance controls, non-disclosure agreements, regulated information protections, or enterprise security requirements are appropriate for specific enterprise activities or organizational discussions.

 

7. RECORDINGS, SCREENSHOTS, AND CONTENT SHARING

Participants shall not:

· record educational sessions without authorization;
· record mentorship sessions without authorization;
· distribute recordings or screenshots;
· share private discussions externally;
· upload participant, instructor, mentor, or enterprise content to third-party platforms without authorization;
· redistribute educational recordings improperly;
· capture confidential enterprise discussions;
· use AI-enabled transcription, recording, summarization, monitoring, or capture technologies during private educational activities, mentorship sessions, workshops, or enterprise discussions without authorization where such usage may compromise confidentiality, privacy, enterprise governance, or participant trust.

Unauthorized recording, distribution, sharing, or misuse of educational materials may result in:

· suspension;
· credential revocation;
· enterprise restrictions;
· removal from educational programs;
· legal action;
· termination of Platform access.

Educational materials and recordings remain subject to intellectual property protections and institutional governance requirements.

 

8. ENTERPRISE, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND EXECUTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS

Enterprise cohorts, organizational learning groups, executive education environments, certifications, and enterprise programs may involve participants from multiple organizations, industries, leadership teams, or jurisdictions.

Participants are expected to:

· maintain professional standards;
· respect differing viewpoints;
· avoid disruptive or competitive misconduct;
· protect enterprise confidentiality;
· engage constructively and ethically;
· avoid misuse of enterprise relationships.

Enterprise educational environments are intended to support professional learning, organizational capability development, leadership growth, executive collaboration, applied education, and responsible professional engagement across industries and organizational contexts.

Organizations remain responsible for the conduct of authorized participants enrolled through enterprise arrangements.

AX Institute reserves the right to coordinate investigations, operational reviews, educational enforcement activities, enterprise restrictions, or moderation activities with authorized organizational representatives where reasonably necessary.

 

9. COMMUNITY MODERATION, PLATFORM RIGHTS, AND OPERATIONAL PROTECTIONS

AX Institute reserves the right to:

· moderate discussions;
· remove content;
· restrict participation;
· suspend accounts;
· remove users from programs or forums;
· disable community features;
· limit enterprise participation;
· preserve Platform integrity;
· implement moderation technologies;
· implement AI-enabled moderation systems;
· investigate misconduct;
· protect participant safety.

AX Institute reserves the right to preserve educational professionalism, executive learning quality, enterprise learning integrity, respectful collaboration, organizational trust, and institutional credibility across Platform environments and enterprise educational activities.

Moderation or enforcement decisions may be based on:

· policy violations;
· disruptive conduct;
· participant complaints;
· enterprise concerns;
· operational concerns;
· reputational concerns;
· cybersecurity concerns;
· participant safety;
· legal or institutional risks;
· educational integrity concerns.

AX Institute is not obligated to host, preserve, maintain, archive, or continue providing user-generated content, discussions, community features, or communications indefinitely.

 

10. REPUTATIONAL PROTECTION

Participants shall not engage in conduct intended to:

· maliciously damage the reputation of AX Institute;
· coordinate fraudulent reviews or attacks;
· impersonate AX Institute representatives;
· knowingly spread false or misleading information;
· interfere with enterprise relationships;
· damage educational integrity;
· interfere with Platform operations;
· disrupt educational or enterprise activities.

Nothing in this Policy restricts lawful consumer rights, lawful criticism, whistleblower protections, legally protected disclosures, or rights protected under applicable law.

 

11. ACADEMIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY

Participants are expected to maintain integrity in all educational and professional activities.

Prohibited conduct includes:

· plagiarism;
· cheating;
· falsification of educational work;
· unauthorized AI-generated submissions;
· credential misuse;
· impersonation during assessments or activities;
· educational fraud;
· enterprise learning misconduct.

Additional educational integrity obligations may apply under the Academic Integrity Policy and Learner Conduct Policy.

 

12. REPORTING CONCERNS

Participants may report suspected violations, misconduct, harassment, inappropriate behavior, enterprise concerns, educational concerns, cybersecurity concerns, or operational concerns by contacting AX Institute using the contact information below.

AX Institute reserves the right to:

· investigate reports;
· review communications;
· review Platform records;
· review enterprise records;
· implement operational reviews;
· conduct moderation reviews;
· take enforcement action where appropriate.

AX Institute may coordinate investigations or operational reviews with authorized enterprise representatives, educational partners, organizational administrators, or legal authorities where reasonably necessary.

 

13. ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS

Where violations are suspected or confirmed, AX Institute may impose one or more enforcement actions including:

· warnings;
· removal of content;
· moderation restrictions;
· suspension of community participation;
· removal from workshops or enterprise programs;
· revocation of subscriptions;
· revocation of credentials or designations;
· suspension of Platform access;
· permanent bans from future participation;
· enterprise restrictions;
· legal action where appropriate.

Serious violations may result in immediate enforcement without prior notice.

AX Institute reserves sole discretion regarding the nature, scope, severity, duration, or appropriateness of enforcement actions.

14. NO GUARANTEE OF USER CONDUCT

AX Institute does not guarantee the conduct, behavior, professionalism, accuracy, reliability, integrity, educational quality, or actions of individual users, instructors, mentors, facilitators, enterprise participants, contributors, or third parties.

Participants interact with others at their own discretion and risk.

AX Institute shall not be responsible for user-generated content, enterprise interactions, mentorship interactions, participant communications, AI-assisted interactions, or participant conduct except where required by applicable law.

 

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AX Institute, AX, and Active Patterns Inc. shall not be liable for:

· participant conduct;
· user-generated content;
· enterprise interactions;
· mentorship interactions;
· educational disputes;
· reputational impacts;
· professional impacts;
· enterprise conflicts;
· participant communications;
· AI-assisted interactions;
· indirect damages;
· consequential damages;
· lost opportunities;
· lost business opportunities;
· lost educational opportunities.

Maximum aggregate liability relating to community participation, educational activities, enterprise participation, mentorship activities, workshops, subscriptions, or Services shall not exceed the amount paid for applicable Services during the preceding twelve (12) months.

Certain jurisdictions may not permit certain limitations. In such cases, liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

 

16. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, disputes relating to this Policy shall be resolved solely on an individual basis and not through class, collective, representative, coordinated, consolidated, or mass proceedings.

Users expressly waive any right to participate in class actions, collective proceedings, representative proceedings, coordinated proceedings, consolidated proceedings, or mass proceedings to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

 

17. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

AX Institute reserves the right to modify, amend, replace, supplement, discontinue, or update this Policy at any time to reflect:

· operational requirements;
· legal developments;
· educational developments;
· enterprise requirements;
· AI developments;
· cybersecurity developments;
· Platform developments;
· community standards;
· evolving governance practices.

Updated versions become effective upon posting unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Continued participation following updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

 

18. ASSIGNMENT

This Policy may be assigned, transferred, delegated, subcontracted, novated, or otherwise transferred by AX Institute in connection with mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, financing arrangements, reorganizations, enterprise restructurings, transfers of operations, or transfers of business operations or assets.
