Alessio Delpero is a researcher, lecturer, and strategist specializing in innovation, technology management, and business strategy. He serves as an Assistant Professor at WU University in Vienna, teaching innovation and strategy across bachelor, master, MBA, and PhD programs, and consistently earning top-tier teaching evaluations. With a PhD in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University—focused on how firms reconfigure knowledge to enhance innovation—Alessio’s research examines innovation processes, organizational learning, knowledge sourcing, and corporate venture dynamics. His work has been featured at leading academic conferences, including the Academy of Management, DRUID, SMS, and Harvard’s OUI Conference. Alessio combines academic depth with extensive practical experience as a long-time entrepreneur and executive in the hospitality, tourism, and sports sectors, where he served as co-founder, CEO, CFO, and board member across multiple organizations. This hands-on leadership background shapes his applied perspective on strategy and innovation. He also brings strong technical capabilities in data analysis, natural language processing, and Python-based research methods, bridging quantitative rigor with strategic insight. Alessio holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management (Dean’s List, Bregman Scholar) and from the University of St. Gallen, along with earlier degrees from the University of Bologna. His international academic experience includes exchanges in Norway and Australia.
